Indigenous Canada Certificate Through University of Alberta

There are some exciting new learning opportunities from the Faculty of Native Studies that you may be interested in because you previously enrolled in a University of Alberta MOOC.

Native Studies has two online courses that are offered directly through the University of Alberta, but are not available through Coursera. These non-credit, continuing education opportunities are priced at $290 (plus GST) for Canadian and international students and are self-paced (asynchronous), so you can learn flexibly at your own pace:

·       Indigenous Peoples and Technoscience, co-created and taught by Dr. Kim TallBear and Dr. Jessica Kolopenuk

o   Offered in Fall 2022 (September 1-December 8) and Winter 2023 (January 5-April 12)

·       Countering Stereotypes of Indigenous Peoples, co-created and taught by Dr. Tasha Hubbard, Dr. Tracy Bear, Sara Howdle and Molly Swain

o   Offered in Fall 2022 (September 1-December 8)
